Supplies for Potters, Basket Weavers, and Teachers

Boones Creek Potter's Gallery carries a wide variety of clay, glazes, kiln shelves, and basket weaving materials. Although we do not carry in stock pottery wheels, kilns, and furniture, we special order high-quality Excel kilns and furniture kits as well as potter's wheels and tools. Excel kilns are designed for high and low-fire work and are of excellent quality and dependability. We pay shipping and you will find our prices are below retail. Special orders can usually be filled in a week. We are always happy to assist you in selecting those items you need and invoice non-profit and educational institutions.

Basket Weaving Supplies

We have the largest selection of basket weaving supplies in the area including various sizes of high-quality flat, round, and flat oval reeds; spline, sea grass, paper rush, and round, oval, and D-handles as well as instructional books. You will be pleased with our large selection and the quality of our weaving products.  

Glazes  

We also carry a wide variety of AMACO lead-free glazes. We are always adding new glazes to our stock. Please call for current glaze colors and princes

Clay Information

We carry a wide variety of Standard Ceramic moist clays and a limited selection of dry clays. All clays formulas are certified by the Art and Creative Materials Institute as non-toxic and contain no materials in sufficient qualities to be toxic or injurious to humans or to cause acute chronic health problems. Below is a list of the moist clays in stock. We will work with our customers to secure particular clays not listed. We deliver at reasonable rates clay to schools and potters within a hundred mile range.

Brown Clay

A plastic clay for wheel or modeling.  The addition of granular manganese gives a speckled surface.  Best color results from using cone five. Good results may be expected in reduction or oxidation firing.
